Peace and Conflict are two concepts that we are all familiar with. But often the idea of identifying a universal concept of peace is quite difficult. That is why I would like to invite you, the peace community, to explore these concepts together.

Every Tuesday at noon there will be a study group at JRPC where we explore different terminology, methods, and brainstorm to educate ourselves on the topics and issues revolving around Peace and Conflict. Continue reading

No human being is illegal. No child expendable

Dear Friends,

Last night, over 400 Montanans gathered outside the Missoula County Detention Center to raiseJune212018 our voices and make it clear that “No human being is illegal. No child expendable.” Last night’s rally and vigil came together in response to the “zero tolerance policy” criminalization of undocumented people that has resulted in an extreme upsurge of ICE arrests and deportations, family separations, and racial profiling in Montana and across the United States. In the past couple months, 16 people have been arrested in Montana for being in the country without proper documentation. Rally and Vigil For Immigrant Justice THIS Wednesday

Wednesday, June 20, 5pm, Missoula County Detention Center (2340 Mullan Rd, Missoula, MT 59808). Rally and vigil for Immigration Justice sponsored by several area groups including JRPC. Please show up to support immigrants and people of color that are experiencing an escalation in racial profiling, ICE detentions, and deportation in our community and throughout the United States. Currently, undocumented people are unjustly being held in the Missoula County Detention Center. Show up and stand up by attending this rally and send the message that we see and hear these people.
